FAQs

Please reach me at kimberly@livinglife.photos or text 740-416-6080 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

 What makes me different?
I know family life isn’t perfectly posed — it’s loud, tender, messy, and deeply meaningful. That’s what I want to capture. Not the “everyone smile at the camera” version of you, but the real connection you share every day.

I take time to truly get to know your family because the little things matter — the way he plays with your hair when he’s tired, the exact order of her goodbye kisses, the way you hold them without even thinking about it. Those are the moments you’ll ache for one day.

Whether we’re in your home, in a field, or walking down a quiet road, the location is just the backdrop. What matters is your story. I’ll send a short questionnaire to learn about you, but I’m always happy to talk or text too — I know life is full, and I want this to feel easy.open to whatever works best for you.

What to expect during your session
Your session is meant to feel relaxed, fun, and very much like your family. I focus on real moments, not stiff poses. I’ll gently guide you the whole time, helping your family settle into a natural rhythm rather than telling you exactly how to stand or smile.

We’ll snuggle, play, walk, sit, and let kids be kids — running included. If your children aren’t looking at the camera, smiling, or sitting still, that’s more than okay. Those in-between moments are often the most meaningful, and they’re what show your child’s true personality. hat is want you will honestly want to see!

Wear something that feels like you. Comfort matters more than perfection. Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully, and simple pieces without bold logos or patterns help keep the focus on connection. Most importantly, choose clothing you can move, sit, and snuggle in — because that’s what we’ll be doing.

Sessions can take place in your home or outdoors in a location that feels meaningful to your family. Some families love the comfort of home, others prefer open fields, quiet roads, or favorite places they already spend time together. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to help you choose a location that fits your family and the kind of moments you want to remember.

Keep it casual and fun. A week or two before, let your kids know about the fun adventure we have planned and invite them to share ideas — I love hearing what they’re excited about.

Most importantly, don’t stress about behavior or put pressure on them to “act right.” Kids being kids is exactly what I expect (and as a mom of two boys, I’ve been there). When kids feel pressure, it shows. When they feel free to be themselves, the magic happens. Just remind them it’s going to be fun — and I’ll take care of the rest.

Great question! I will go through all of your captured moments and pick out ones that will tell your story best! I generally deliver the edited full gallery within 2 weeks of the session. I will also post a sneak peek within a few days as well!

This is another great question! I will be sending you a questioneer about your family and the things you like doing together. The more you tell me, the more equipped I will be to deliver an exceptional gallery that is all yours!  This photoshoot is about your family so I definitely want to make it all about youl!

Printed Memories

Why should you print your beautiful memories?

Prints are vital in a world filled with digital images that often fade into the background. As a photographer, I witness this trend firsthand, where clients invest immense energy into curating the perfect outfit, location, and poses—but then neglect the physical representation of their cherished memories. After hours of meticulous planning, scouting locations, capturing the essence of each moment, and perfecting the images through editing, it can be disheartening to see these photos go uncelebrated, confined to the depths of a hard drive.

Imagine the joy of holding a tangible reminder of those precious moments—a beautifully printed photograph that you can hang on your wall, gift to a loved one, or simply flip through in an album. Prints have an irreplaceable value; they transform fleeting experiences into lasting memories, imbuing them with a permanence that digital files simply cannot match.

Not only do prints allow you to enjoy your photos in a more meaningful way, but they also serve as conversation starters and cherished treasures for generations to come. How wonderful would it be to pass down a family album filled with vibrant prints, rich with stories and emotions, rather than a digital folder that may be overlooked or forgotten?

As we navigate an increasingly digital landscape, it is essential to reclaim the art of print photography. Let's commit to transforming our stunning images into physical works of art that embody the effort and passion invested in their creation. Embrace the beauty of prints—celebrate your moments, adorn your walls, and preserve the experiences that define us. Make the choice to breathe life into your photographs; don't let them sit idle in a digital void. Your memories deserve to be seen, touched, and cherished.

QUICK TIPS

  • We will be moving around and sitting on a blanket so be mindful of shoes and binding outfits.
  • Bring a small snack for little ones (grammy bears, goldfish crackers or marshmallows; just nothing that will melt or stain faces or clothing)
  • Plan haircuts 1-2 weeks before session.
  • I am looking for connection points so I will frequently remind you to hold hands, touch an arm or face, kiss a forehead, lift a child...etc.
  • During the session, I will have you to look less at the camera and more at one another.
  • If kiddos are acting a little shy plan to snuggle a little extra that day, if they are acting wild they can have a little extra run around time. We will have a personalized experience either way!
  • If you do not have time to fill out the questioneer, please call or text me so I can get a feel for what your family is all about so I can do the best job possible capturing your family.
